Our Team
Pastors Tyvon and Jamallia Petway are the founders and directors of 4Winds International and currently serve as associate pastors at Agape Christians In Action in Jacksonville, NC. Tyvon Petway was born and raised in Washington, D.C, while Jamallia Petway was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. They have been married for 16 blissful years. Tyvon and Jamallia have five wonderful children; 3 daughters and 2 adopted sons from Ghana and the Philippines.
Pastors Tyvon and Jamallia love to propel God’s people into a true relationship with the Father. They were raised in broken homes where their fathers were not present, which ignited the fire inside for adoption and family ministry. They have a passion to see marriages succeed and become the dream relationships that God intended for perfect unions.
Pastors Tyvon and Jamallia have coordinated and led home-based small groups for life and marriage. They have also performed duties and services as deacons and youth ministers in the church. Tyvon and Jamallia have participated in SOZO, Restoring the Foundations and Ministering Spiritual Gifts Levels 1 through 4 and are trained in Married for Life: 2 =1.
While living in Okinawa, Japan, missions became a passion for the Petway family. Unknown to them at the time, this is where the Lord began birthing Four Winds International into their hearts. Through experiences in counseling, discipleship, and mission trips, Pastors Tyvon and Jamallia saw the need and felt the burden for missionary and pastoral care. The Petway family walks out their lives by the leading of the Holy Spirit and truly believes, and has seen, God do the impossible repeatedly. Their core focuses are world missions, orphan care, worship, intercession, and building healthy marriages and families!
Pastor Tyvon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics and a Master’s degree in Management and Leadership. Tyvon is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Divinity Leadership Cognate. He serves our country as a major in the United States Marine Corps performing key administrative functions. Pastor Tyvon serves as a teacher in the youth ministry department, and fulfills the roles of minstrel and psalmist on the praise and worship team. He has significant experience in co-leading marriage and men’s ministries and participating in multiple worship bands.
Pastor Jamallia holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Accounting and is also a licensed high school teacher. Jamallia is currently a stay at home mom cherishing the time she has to pour into their children. In her free time, Jamallia enjoys volunteering for her church and drafting her first book. She has co-led women’s ministry in the past and has a heart to see women walking in their true identity and position in Christ. Other auxiliary functions include: church administrator, marriage ministry, and a financial officer.
Jade Johnson-Grant serves as the Communication and Media Director of 4Winds Int’l. She is also a music teacher at Joshua Springs Christian School in Yucca Valley, CA. Jade graduated from the university of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication studies, and later graduated from Liberty University with a Master of Arts in Communication studies. Jade is most passionate about building and maintaining intimacy with the Lord, and using musical gifts to worship Him. During free time, she also enjoys basketball and the newly found joy of weightlifting. Jade has been married to her husband Matthew for five years, and they love serving God and country together.
